Most of us help each other regularly, few of us stop to consider why we do it. Why do we help those in need? We all understand that helping people is good, that little bit you do is enough to make their lives better. But something we don’t consider often is how these good deeds make us feel. It’s something that doesn't get the credit it deserves & without doubt is something worth talking about.
There are many reasons why we need to help people around us.
It makes them indebted to you
When you help people, they unconsciously become indebted to you & look for every little opportunity to repay this kindness. If you have read THE GODFATHER, the Don got his influence & power by giving and helping people.
it makes you happy & can reduce anxiety
I have discovered that when I help people, I am happier for it. It's a wonderful feeling to see the joy and happiness on the face of the person you've impacted positively.
it opens new paths for you
Helping people attracts opportunities towards you, it might lead you on a new path, help your career & probably help you achieve your goals. When you help someone achieve his goals, that person attaches value to you. This value may come in handy at some point later.
It seals friendship
A friend in need, is a friend indeed.... this is very true. A bond of friendship is created when you help someone, loyalty & respect is incorporated into that relationship.
You might need urgent help
Helping people is like heaping blocks of help & favor for yourself. You don't know when you'll be the one that needs help.
What are you waiting for? Make it an habit to help people around you if you can. You'll be better for it. WE STAND BY HELPING OTHERS STAND
