After conducting 6 searches, the Organize Crime Brigade of Tirgu Mures, Romania found 100 tabs of LSD, 20 grams of hashish and a grinder. They believe the narcotics originated from the United Kingdom via darknet marketplace purchase.
“There is a reasonable suspicion that a package containing 100 LSD stamps, high-risk drugs, which were ordered via the dark web, was dispatched from the UK in July 2017,”
The Directorate for Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) with the support of the Special Operations Directorate arrested Cristian Moldovan, Traian Cif and Alexandru Pol in Tirgu Mureş, Mureş, Romania on July 28, 2017. While Cif and Pol were put on preventative detention for 30 days, Moldovan was placed under judicial control for 15 days. Due to the amount of LSD, the 3 accused are suspected of drug distribution.
