It seems to me that Magic Monday should be a thing. Let's open a booster pack of cards for Magic: The Gathering and see what I get! Feel free to comment with your thoughts on these cards!
I am not invested in the Ikoria set at all aside from this pack, so oddities like the Almighty Brushwagg perplex me, and I have no idea how to use the Mysterious Egg, but some of these seem like decent utility cards. Thwart the Enemy is a handy way to stay in the game. Shredded Sails and Dead Weight look useful, too.
The uncommon intrigue me. Swallow Whole might belong in my black and white control deck, and Bastion of Remembrance has definite potential to add a layer of nastiness to some of its combos, since it can trigger a lot of effects under the right circumstances. Primal Empathy fits well in the growth and control style of blue and green decks.
The rare is a bit lackluster, but I could be tempted to try a red/black Menace-themed deck.
The land and token are both handy, if not especially impressive. Life gain and dual colors is useful, even if it does enter tapped.
