Phew this new Lord Huron track is absolutely my morning activator song of the week… BAM! Hope it helps you get going on a sleepy morning.

If you want more morning activator tracks let me know and I’ll be sure to pepper them into my posts here and there- music really helps me get in the zone.
I know everyone’s amount of required sleep is different, but when I get 8 hours and a bit of coffee in me I’m an absolute bullet out of the barrel, or more a appropriately for this season, a veritable German two manned bob-sled.
Could also be the fact that today marks the 7-day count down to my 30th birthday, better make this last week in my 20's count!
I was pretty damn cranky for most of yesterday, annoyed that I couldn’t focus enough to get a good amount of work done, and too stressed about being behind on said work, to be able to relax. I trudged through, got a good amount of billable client hours on the board done, got some nice steemit time in, and retreated to the bed area to spend a little time with the PS4 before another downshift to movie time with Mouse.

We watched the new Bladerunner film, it was good but a bit too slow and relaxing for the amount of exhaustion I was experiencing. Fitbit says I dosed off for 12 minutes.
After breakfast, I set up my work area with a cup of coffee, and doing one of my favorite actives. LIST MAKING. I found a Neon Pink Jelly Roll pen, and it’s making my note taking life much more exciting. I’ll look for any excuse to use, it- ESPECIALLY if it means using it to cross off the completion of a task.

Maybe that needs to be a new genre of video on Youtube, next to the slime and paint mixing and ASMR Completion porn. It would be just people crossing off tasks from paper lists with really nice pens... oh god. Admittedly, it would be a cheap high, because in reality you wouldn’t have actually accomplished anything except wasting time watching a video, but I’d wager all my steem power that it would get views. - Just sayin’
That actually kind of brings up a topic that we and creators should be talking about I think. Just because we CAN make something, should we? Is it the best use of our time, and does it effect the world in a positive way, or is it just adding to the distraction economy.

Part of why I love steemit so much (aside from this kickass community) is that we’re free from content aggregating algorithms. Sure there’s still clickbait, but I truly believe that the most successful creators here are the ones who are truly putting out a quality product, and are being open, honest and authentic with the way they tell their stories.

Being a Maker means you have a certain set of superpowers, our words are weapons friends, the way we wield multimedia assets, gifs, photos, videos, spoken words, our keystrokes, all of our aresenal and every megabite of space we take up on the blockchain either ultimately leaves the world, even if only infinitesimally a better or worse place.
Not to Uncle-Ben you, but that’s a lot of power we wield, and you know the bit about the responsibility part I’m sure.

I hope I was able to share a bit of my activator energy with you this morning. Sure it’s Sunday, and one of the week’s best opportunities to relax, but it also holds countless more opportunities if that’s what you’re seeking.
And so, may this blockchain blessing go out to the furthest reaches of the net:
May your keystrokes be swift,
May you connection be fast,
and May your Creative Spirit be unhindered.
After-all, Makers-Gonna make!- Have a great Sunday everyone!
