Just to ease the pressure on the coin price, HF21 is scheduled to take place on the 27th August. What should you expect? Authors will see a minimum decline of 43% on average of their post rewards; this could shrink even further if the total is below the pivot-point of the new curve, which is at about 4 STEEM - let's call it a round dollar, as the STEEM economy appears to be dollar-denominated.
This means that any extra upvotes that push a post through and past that 4 STEEM mark are worth much more as they not only add to the rewards but also increase the overall percentage received at payout. Comment upvotes will be a thing of the past as they very rarely come to more than 4 STEEM. Would be cheaper to send the author a small STEEM transfer - a tip. You will thus see the rise of the tipping-tokens.
What else? Oh yes, you were promised double the curation rewards. Actually, they are rising from 25% of 75% (18.75%) to 50% of 65% (32.5%) which is an increase of 73%. However, the so-called reverse-auction will be shrunk from 15 minutes to 60 seconds, which means all the curation-generating-bots will play their 1-minute game, leaving humans with about half the average curation rewards. But there is a further complication in that if the article does not earn very much then it is further penalised with the downwardly-divergent linear rewards.
So, make sure you vote big and you vote for popular content that will earn enough for you to earn more curation rewards than you currently do. What will MAPXV do? Hopefully, upvote more members. What you may lose in raw rewards will be made up by increased curation rewards being compounded into our SP, thereby lifting those votes.

Total voting power at the moment stands at just under 14,100 SP, which is a great start to the program. We have also sold about 2060 MAPXV tokens, so the SP is some 7 times the power of the tokens. Worth considering, when compared to the current price of just 1.08 STEEM. In one day, a MAPXV token will yield upvotes worth 0.4% of 14,100 SP, or about 5.2 times what the price of a token would give as SP over a whole day.
