Today I got something different in my joint,
I've decided to try out CBD!
So I got my hands on one of the, CBD strains, it's called "Rasta Candy".
It came packed in a little carton box with a sticker and little bag containing the herb.
The smell has a very mild earthy flavor, reminding me mostly on the Cali Kush, but much much weaker.
The buds were very dry and overall it didn't look anything special compared to the "higher grade" THC strains.
If you zoom in you can still see small crystals.
As it was dry as gunpowder grinding it was easy, one thing I noticed while grinding is that the smell doesn't intensify upon grinding unlike the normal herbs, it pretty much stays the same .
On to the smoking part,
I rolled a nice joint not knowing what to expect either from the taste or from the effects, was it going to taste like the normal stuff, was it going to get me stoned, high, something 3rd?
Lighted the joint up to find out.
First notice on the first drag, it pretty much tastes like normal weed, what i mean by that, the difference when u smoke a normal cigarette with tobacco and a joint with weed in it, you can clearly taste the weed. The taste was pretty much the same as the smell, a mild earthy one.
I can't really say that I got high or stoned, but overall I did feel a little more relaxed.
It made me experience "rushes" of sleepiness, which was quite unexpected to be honest, although that could also be contributed by the heat and chill music that was playing in my background.
Overall I don't see CBD as a substitute for THC but could very well serve for adding some flavor to the cigarette smokers.
People say it has health benefits, but as far as health goes I wouldn't particularly agree since one is inhaling smoke by smoking it, which lets be honest can't be good for your health.
Vaping or taking CBD oil on the other hand I could see bringing some positive sides to the health.
All in all I don't have all too much to comment about it, not a bad experience, probably a good choice if one wants to smoke something but not get high, maybe during work hours.
I will probably check out some other CBD strains, but for now THC ones keep my fav spot, for me if I smoke, it is to get me into the high or stoned state, and CBD failing to do so basically defeats the purpose of smoking for me, since im not a cigarette smoke!
