Getting Started
Ordered and Unordered Lists are a great way to present information to your audience.
It is important to know how to properly format paragraphs and lines within those lists so that you can communicate your message in a visually appealing manner.
Important things to remember:
- In order to create an indented line in an ordered or unordered list, press the Enter key 1 time and press the Space key 3 times.
- In order to create an indented paragraph in an ordered or unordered list, press the Enter key 2 times and press the Space key 3 times.

1. One
Indented Line - press the Enter key 1 time and press the Space key 3 times.
Indented Paragraph - press the Enter key 2 times and press the Space key 3 times.

Practice Makes Perfect
Now it's your turn to practice what you have learned.
- Open Steemit.com and click Submit a Story.
- Copy the following text and paste it into the Steemit Markdown editor.
1. Ordered List Item #1
Create a new indented line by adding 3 spaces in front of this line.
Create a new indented paragraph by adding 3 space in front of this line.
2. Ordered List Item #2
This is a paragraph that is not indented (no additional spaces required).
