As you may know, Town Crier Marketing is all about telling stories and helping businesses. We are also about community and the current pandemic has completely altered our mode of operation. We have shifted all efforts from client acquisition and poured 100% of our efforts into volunteering for the community and small business.
Not surprisingly, the stories have gotten even better and here is a recent one we would love to share with you.

We all know that the health care workers are some of the greatest heroes in times of crisis. When you add to that the fact that even Easter Sunday doesn't stop these dedicated front line warriors, you may agree with us that any effort supporting their brave and selfless dedication is more than worth the time.

How do we do our part to help these warriors?
At Town Crier Marketing, we are in the enviable position of knowing many of the community leaders and business owners...often one in the same. Wracking our brains on a Saturday morning of what was supposed to be a long weekend, some wonderful coffee from https://stratfordcoffee.com/ fueled an epiphany of sorts in the form of a community collaboration. "What if we could organize a few of the fine restaurants, partner them with the supportive businesses, and donate some time to coordinating an effort to deliver Easter dinner to the hospital workers?"
Knowing that restaurants are already fighting to avoid closing forever and other businesses are crippled by closures and restricted operations, it is not likely we could pull this off in a day and a half. We decided, given the insignificant downside, it was worth a shot.

Local Cuisine All-stars

Not surprisingly, the first 3 restaurants we called were all-in even before we went over the details! These are also some of the fanciest, most exclusive bistros, venues and restaurants in town too which is just the treat our emergency workers deserve.

Seriously. Look at those smiling faces, bravely progressing in a regressive business period and leading as examples in a community full of people looking for direction.
Here are the restaurants who put so much care and skill into their contributions.
Revival House - https://revival.house - (519)273-3424
Red Lion Room -https://redlionroom.ca/- (519)272-1776
The Red Rabbit-https://redrabbitresto.com/ (519)305-6464
We couldn't have these embattled restauranteurs bear the burden of providing a special treat as a small reward for our beloved medical workers. Next phase!

Local Business Champions!
As you may expect, it didn't take long for us to connect with owners of the local companies we choose to do business with and discover more inspiring support. Below are the logos and websites of the sponsors who stepped up in a very big and personal way. Each purchased one or more of the special meals we were to deliver to the hospital that night despite barely having the budget to operate themselves.
Jobsite Brewing - https://www.jobsitebrewing.ca/ (519)305-3335

Coventry Animal Hospital - https://coventryvets.ca/ (519) 273-3471

The Compudoc- https://thecompudoc.com/ (519) 271-7003

MacLeods Scottish Shop- https://scottishshop.com/ (888)771-0302

As mentioned, there is a story behind each of these awesome community leaders and we will tell them individually in articles this week so we can do each justice.

Delivery Time!

Plainly put, we had the easiest and probably most gratifying role in this whole project. We simply recruited the help of @ZekePickleman to coordinate the generous parties, and volunteer to deliver the meals. Imagine receiving heartfelt thanks from the people who deserve all of the thanks on behalf of all the generous community members who made it happen. He simply said, "It is the least I can do and the thanks goes to you, the restaurants and sponsors who shared the finance of this well-deserved gift."

In all, 16 meals were delivered at the ideal time to catch a shift change. Meaning, not only did we get to provide delicious meals for the evening shift, but also for the shift of emergency staff just headed home for a well-deserved rest with a fancy meal. The restaurants added so many extra goodies that I am sure there were leftovers and Town Crier contributed a few boxes of Girl Guide cookies to support that group as well.
These heroes requested to remain anonymous with the masks protecting their health as well as their individual identities. They simply asked us to pass on their gratitude for this and all of the other support pouring in from the community.

It is difficult to put into words how fulfilling this was to play a small part in supporting all of the heroes involved. All we can do is be thankful for being involved and hope it inspires you to thank your community heroes and get involved in your town.
Sincerely, contact us at contact@towncriermarketing.ca or at https://www.facebook.com/towncriermarketingcanada/ if we can help you do something like this for your community. Our pleasure.
