What's the best way to display prime numbers? Who agrees that this example interfacing the numbers into a #spiral makes the numbers more memorable? Perhaps spiral interfaces will unlock new insights for #mathematicians. Arranging numbers in a spiral of 6 is more revealing than 12. When the prime numbers are displayed in columns and rows its hard to see any pattern at all.
All spirals are concentric circles. On a computer screen the algorithm used to display a circle is the midpoint circle algorithm. The question is what is the space between the pixels? The human eye can only see so far, so big, so small. At some point the space between the pixels becomes insignificant. Or is there a way to build a kind of infinite fractal pixel, where no space exist in-between the pixels?
