Me Too Movement is shaking Korea. As a result of entering the workforce and the increase in the proportion of women in the organization and the improvement of the role and status, the Me Too Movement has enabled women to reject male-centered societies and demand a new social relationship that is equal and without gender discrimination. It is not clear at this moment what the end of this Me Too Movement will be. To overcome sex discrimination and become a society of equality between men and women is a matter of whether all members of society are willing to change their thoughts and actions.
Regarding sex, even a generation ago, In Korea, chastity is very important. People thought it for granted. Now, however, Korea is no longer at the stage of emphasizing chastity, and young generation does not expect chastity when they get. Legally and institutionally, the rape law has already been abolished and it has developed to the level of recognizing rape among married couples, respecting the 'self-determination of sex’.
Regardless of the success of the Me Too Movement, the 'self-determination of sex' will be expanded in Korea. It is a matter of time before the open relationship is expanded and the sex itself develops into a ‘play or fun culture’ that can be enjoyed without any conditions from the act of binding with the future, commitment, sacrifice, and responsibility. Because marriage no longer functions to bind two people institutionally, morally or religiously, there is a high possibility that the freedom of sex will broaden deeply and widely. Explicitly or implicitly when two people are in love or marriage, they are based on a closed relationship that prohibits sex with other people. However, unlike this, Open Relationship is a relationship which anyone can have sex freely with others. Especially in Korea, almost all conditions such as telecommunication and accommodation facilities, which are the infrastructure for open relationship, are available so that sex partners can be met anytime and anywhere. In addition, there is a strong possibility that the open relationship between married couples is spreading rapidly because the guilt about cheating is not strong among the married couples. Sex is institutionally evolving as a play rather than a function of both suppressing and binding two people.
The biggest problem of this Open Relationship is that there is very strong tendency of ‘Rich-get richer’ and Poor-get-poorer’ in sex. People with people from high social standards such as young, sexy, handsome, rich and smart, etc. have almost unlimited opportunities, but in the opposite case, they rarely have a chance to meet anyone.
The expansion of the open relationship means that the institutional, moral, and religious constraints of sex have disappeared, so it has become the "age of competition of all against all" in order to keep their love. Until now, marriage and institutions have played a role of holding the two together, but now that social binding has been disappearing, it is time to break up easily if the partner thinks you are bot the best for him or her. So if you do not do your best to your partner for your lover, the relationship will break up.
In the future, the government may worry about whether or not sex robots should be distributed for welfare purposes for people who have no chance to have any relationship.
