The perfection of Wisdom is related to a very important characteristic of thought, flexibility, that is the reason of why wisdom allows better decisions and especially the art of listening (perceive with attention, meditate, decide). Cultivating wisdom is cultivating progressive, flexible, creative, and intuitive thinking. And this is the opposite of foolishness or perversion, perverse thinking is monotonous, inflexible, destructive, and chaotic thinking.
And the flexibility that wisdom allows in the human heart is what makes the wise meek, patient. For many fools, meekness is a defect, but meekness and patience prevent people from falling into error due to anger and low passions; because as the Book of Proverbs explains with wisdom and intelligence: "A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel" Proverbs 15:18.
Meekness and patience bless man, and lead him to another blessing, longevity or immortality, people who do not get carried away by passions live longer and better: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" Proverbs 4:23.
Following the path of wisdom and the fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability) as David and Solomon followed is the true good of man; that is why the Book of Proverbs invites us to follow this path with a beautiful teaching: "A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offense" Proverbs 19:11.
The spiritual gift of meekness avoids unnecessary conflicts, teaches us the Sacred Scriptures with many examples, such as the misfortune of Rehoboam who, due to his heavy ego, caused the division of the Kingdom of Israel in the assembly of Shechem (1 Kings 12:1-20); or King Ahab in 1 Kings 22, who, due to his distrust, did not know how to listen to the prophet Micaiah who was advising him with good intentions.
