Meet Andrew.

"I'm twenty-eight years old and I went to Las Vegas this year for the first time in my life.
I've recently started feeling my age as I near the end of my twenties, and for the first time in my life I truly feel as though my youth is slipping away. For me, it is an especially terrifying feeling because acting young and irresponsible is such an intricate part of my identity and the persona that I love to play up. The feeling that my youth is disappearing is causing me to seriously question how people will view me as a person once my outlandish behaviour is no longer credibly attributable to my reckless youth.
During the weekend that I was in Las Vegas, The Chainsmokers were playing a set at The XS nightclub at Encore. My best friend since high school had arrived in Vegas a couple days earlier and when I met him at his hotel shortly after my arrival he immediately threw a pair of Chainsmokers tickets down in front of me that he had already purchased, and demanded that we attend. So we did. The energy level in the nightclub was high from the moment the artist dropped the first track. As the set played on, I slipped into a euphoric trance. They played throwback cover after throwback cover – songs that I listened to throughout high school and knew by heart. I sang every word out loud. At the peak of the show, The Chainsmokers played their hit song “Closer.” I looked over at my friend and smiled, as we both screamed “We ain't ever gettin' older” over and over at the top of our lungs.
I'm acutely aware of my fleeting youth. I don't know what my next ten years will look like but it is the ability to look back on moments like this with a smile, that brings me comfort as I grow older."
Project meetSteem is my way of introducing friends, family members, acquaintances and even strangers to the Steemit platform. A majority of the liquid rewards earned from each meetSteem post will be sent to the individual featured in the post after he/she sets up a Steemit account.
