Good evening!
This Friday at the meetup Blockchains & Cryptocurrencies 101 in Moscow, I got my first experience as a speaker. As it turned out, there is nothing wrong with this - even when you can not answer the question posed to you.
The inspirer of the meeting was @kencode, an agorist and a rather interesting person. Organized the same Alexander @kwaskoff - president of the Financial Technology Association
Because of the size of the room, we initially planned to take a couple of dozen people. But despite the lack of active advertising - there were many more willing and we increased the number of seats. 50 people, more than 30 people came and about a third with laptops.
The audience was actively involved in the discussion, so for 3 hours we did not have everything we wanted. Nevertheless, we managed to discuss the advantages of BitShares and graphene-chains in general before other blockchains, worked in the testnet: creating an account, creating your UIA-token, searching for markets, transferring tokens to other users.
During the break, Alexander fed the people, as everyone was mostly after work and hungry.
Two people were unhappy with the meeting - they expected that we would teach them to do smart-contracts or something like that.
But since meetup was aimed primarily at beginners and most of the visitors are referring to them - all the rest were satisfied. Many were starving at the opportunities that BitShares and Steem* are giving.
In general, I liked it. And if there is an opportunity - next time, too, I will try to speak.
