Profile of Menulis ID, Local Partner in Indonesia

MenulisID is a writing community-based in Surabaya, Indonesia, founded in December 2023. It has rapidly grown to 250 active members who voluntarily contribute articles to the menulis.id platform.

We are a vibrant community dedicated to supporting writers and content creators in fostering a love for writing and promoting literacy across Indonesia. As we celebrate our first anniversary, we’re excited to give back to our community and make a positive impact through engaging activities that inspire creativity and learning for everyone.

Vision & Mission

MenulisID envisions to empower Indonesia's younger generation by enhancing digital literacy and writing skills through engaging, educational, and inspiring activities. Our mission is to provide a space that encourages writing skills improvement and digital literacy in the region.

Collaboration with OCD

MenulisID proudly collaborates with OCD to bring a new perspective and innovative approach to empowering Indonesia's content creators and writers. Through this collaboration we aim to merge MenulisID mission advancing digital literacy as well as OCD’s goal of fostering a supportive and vibrant community on hive which emphasizes on inclusive onboarding, retention, and highlighting valuable content from newcomers.

Through this collaboration , we most certainly hope to create a space where Indonesian content creators can seamlessly connect, grow and learn about decentralized platforms like Hive, and discover new opportunities for digital expression and collaboration.

Who Are We?

In this partnership, we consist of young professionals, who are passionate about bridging creativity and blockchain in the region through creative collaboration and community empowerment.

• @silvercrown1 – A professional content writer and initiator of the Menulis ID community, he brings expertise in storytelling and a keen understanding of Indonesian audiences. With experience in SEO and content strategy, he’s excited to showcase Hive’s potential and contribute his insights to its growth.

• Soffya – An Indonesian journalist and the founder of Menulis.ID, Soffya is dedicated to promoting digital literacy and supporting local writers.

• Cemy (@macchiata) – With over six years experience in blockchain community building , She brings a wealth of experience in creating and moderating thriving online spaces. Her expertise in the Hive ecosystem makes her an invaluable guide for newcomers, helping to build a welcoming and engaging Hive community in the region.

Together, we are leveraging our combined expertise to introduce, educate, and inspire Indonesian content creators and audiences about the possibilities that Hive can offer.

MenulisID activities

MenulisID offers a range of activities that we will integrate as a medium to introduce the Hive blockchain. Our current initiatives include:

Merangkai Kata

This activity is a small offline or online meeting between MenulisID members to discuss literacy, writing, and other activities that strengthen relationships between community members

Kelas Menulis

MenulisID also hosts a variety of writing classes, both free and paid, across multiple categories aimed at enhancing members' writing skills. These sessions feature speakers from diverse backgrounds within the literary field.

Notably, all Hive-related writing classes will be offered entirely free of charge, making it accessible for anyone interested in learning about Hive and its potential.

Tantangan Kecil Menulis

This is a small-scale writing competition held internally and publicly. This competition is held to hone members' writing skills, with attractive prizes to encourage active participation.
