At this point I do not have a huge idea about what I might be getting myself into. But I sort of realize the ramifications in a world that can not rely on the internet. So I think the solution is sort of simple... I need to create a 'meshnet'. I think then I would be able to talk/interact with people even when the internet goes down.
The information that I would like to know is:
how much would the start up cost be
how many people could be on the network at once
and how far could the meshnet reach
and how could 'new' people be added
Maby the person reading this is unable to offer an inteligent comment (thats fine because I dont really need to be confused) but if you know a tech geek, then alert them about my question.
