Metronome is the world's first cross-blockchain cryptocurrency. It helps to make decentralisation to another level with robust architecture. There are some very smart people working on this project and one of the famous person is Jeff Garzik (CEO of BLOQ and Bitcoin Developer). According to the team it removes the flaws of other cryptos that are available in the market (~$0.6 trillion) in respect to its creation and distribution.
Features
One of the great feature about the MTN (Metronome) is that it is cross-blockchain which will use the existing blockchain technology more specifically ETH and BTC networks and a user can transfer their MTN token across them. Another great thing about it is the value of the tokens will remain same no matter on which blockchain it is on i.e maintaining consistent value over the network. It has some substantial benefits but one of the biggest downside of MTN is if any of the BTC or ETH network are compromised then MTN will be compromised too.
MTN is based on three basic design principles :
1. Self-Governance
There will be no influence of founder on the token after the launch and its public access. The contract governance of the token will start on its launch.
2. Reliability
Issue and Supply of the tokens are immutable.
3. Portability
To help maintain the maximum decentralization across multiple blockchains.
The great thing about Metronome is that it will be sold in a series of auctions instead of the conventional way. This strategy is very different from the conventional way of doing things in which miners validate the transactions and get paid for the same in form of the same tokens and further miner put their tokens on sale on exchange sites.
Sales and All
Mathew Roszak (Co-founder of Bloq and a crypto Investor) says that the reverse auction will provide a greater number of opportunities to the people to own the Metronome tokens. It will help people with deep pockets gaining a tremendous position of the same. According to Garzik, the token price would be high initially ~$500 and will drop depending on the market.
Initially, On its launch 10M Metronome tokens will be issued, and 8M tokens to be sold in DPA i.e Descending Price Auction with ETH. After that each day certain amount of MTN tokens (statistically - 2880) will be sold which is equal to the annual rate of 2%. It will maintain a consistent and predictable supply of token over the year. Another part is Bloq, which will retain 2M tokens of the same.
