Such is the case with Blake Pouliot and Hsin-I Huang.

Here is my favorite introduction to Blake Pouliot. Composed by Manuel Ponce, arranged and made famous by Jascha Heifitz, Estrillita is a divine “standard” within the repertoire for violin. Played by Mr. Pouliot with all the romantic brilliance it absolutely demands.
Here is a fascinating violin lesson taught by Jascha Heifitz himself and narrated by the great Izhak Perlman. All violinists, great or otherwise, hover under the gigantic shadow of Jascha Heifitz!
Here is the thrilling collaboration between Pouliot and Hsin-I Huang! Ms. Huang’s late entry is well-worth-waiting-for!!
The entire piece is, for myself at any rate, a breath-taking collaboration between two artists, both of whom set a new high standard for the marriage of violin and piano! Their five years together sound more like a flawlessly courageous, golden anniversary celebration!
Here in Debussy’s portrait of a “Beautiful Evening”, Debussy, in the briefest of creations, delivers the very essence of a “Beau Soir”.
