Are you still confused, what is Steem, Steem Power(SP) and Steem Dollar(SBD), than this post is for you.
Friends when you login your Steemit A/c you have to go to your Wallet page, you will see three things out there STEEM, STEEM POWER AND STEEM DOLLAR.
Friends STEEM and STEEM DOLLARS are tokens, which you can trade immediately. For example if I go to coinmarketcap you see these coins there.
At a time of it's blockchain design they put two tradable tokens, which is steem and steam dollar. Steem dollar peg against US Dollar and steem considered as a normal token like, ethereum, Ripple etc. Steem dollar's purpose is same like the purpose behind USDT and True USD. Ideally its price has to be near around US dollar price because its peg against US Dollar, but steem is a normal token and its price can be anything. This is a major difference between steem and steem dollar. You can trade them anytime if you have available Steem and Steem dollar in your account. Now let's come to the main thing on Steemit platform, which is Steem power, Steem power is basically Steem only. Steem power means you have locked your tokens on blockchain, so the more Steem you have on steemit, the more Steem power you will get. Steem power is a influence of yours on steemit, that means it will determine what is the power of your vote. So the question is how to get Steem power, well there are two ways to get that, one is, you can buy steam directly through exchanges and once you get Steem on Steemit than you have to power up to get Steem power. Second is, you have to post on steemit and than you will get upvote, comments and by that you will get Steem, Steem dollar and Steem power. Whatever votes you will get that will reflect after 1 week on you Steemit account, and that amount which you will get by your post will be divide in three parts which Steem, Steem Power and Steem Dollar. So this is how it's all works.
