The day I reach the Famous Rank 66!

When I saw my rank few hours ago, I remembered the Route 66, the reason why I want to share you some info about it!
To understand why Route 66 matters, you have to understand what it was, and what was going on in the Country when it was opened.
First, Route 66 is not one road. It was a series of roads compiled into one route leading to the west coast. This was long before there was what he know of today as the Interstate.
It is made up mostly two-lane roads, through an almost endless stream of small towns, and some of the most beautiful scenery the continent has to offer.
It's route across the map means that no matter where you start anywhere in the East, you will hit Route 66 is you're heading to Los Angeles. It was simply unavoidable.
Did you catch "Don't forget Winona?" It's out of sequence in the song. All of the other towns listed go in the order you'd pass through them on your wat to California. Winona was - like so many other places - just a wide spot in the road, hardly worthy of a mention on its own, but the innkeeper there was particuarly nice to Bobby when he stayed there, do he gave it a "shout-out" in the song.
There have been so many lives changed by a trip down 66, or back up it, so many stories told, heard, and lived on it, that it is in a permanent part of this nation's very fabric.
