Recently my Ethereum miner had to be migrated to a new home. The price of electricity had finally exceeded the limit of my friend's mother. Since my friend Ant did most of the leg work in getting the miner up and running initially at his house, I took it upon myself to pack up the miner and take it to its new home, which I had already planned for.
With a huge wrestling bag filled with computer equipment slung on my body I left the comfy suburbs and caught the train into Philadelphia.
When I got to Drexel University I met up with another friend, Jay, who agreed to run the miner free of charge in his dorm room. The setup was confusing at first but Drexel had no shortage of nerds available to help and electronic equipment that I had forgotten at home.
The miner may be a ways from home, but at least there is a nice view to ponder instead of an enclosed basement ☺️
All in all I was surprised in the lack of knowledge regarding cryptocurrencies at such an advanced research facility such as Drexel University.
