So the new pending issue that keeps popping up now is, "where and how do I get my posting key?"
This became an issue as I decided to start asking people to join a curation trail.
Quickly, lest see how we can get these keys.
I will do another post to explain all the various keys soon, don't mess with them if you don't know how and where to use them
To get your keys:
- Go to wallet
- Switch form balance to permissions
There you are, You will see several keys
Posting key
Active key
Owner key
Memo key
All those showing, currently are the public keys and are available online for everyone to see.
The Private Key as the adjective attached should be kept to yourself and that is what gives you authority.
The first password or key that was created for you is actually, the Private Owners Key and can be treated as the master password for all the other keys.
What Can You Use The Private Posting Key For?
Posting keys give very basic authority to who has it or app that we log in with;
- Ability to post content and comments
- Ability to upvote and downvote
and that is about all, nothing more. So assuming you want to post from, say:
