My Love Letter to MSP
I’ve been thinking a lot about the Minnow Support Project since I entered a contest that I ended up losing. I was so incredibly moved and inspired by the way that MSP came together to help me try to win. My losing sparked an effort to help minnows with a monthly delegation through the creation of the Make a Minnow Project, thanks to @sammosk, @eturnerx, and many others who have been working hard on the details of this project.
I feel honored to have been chosen as the first recipient and I want to do everything I can to help minnows, even after I no longer have the delegation.
Like many others, when I first joined Steemit my sole focus was to gain followers and try to make as much money as I could.
@swelker101 and I joined the MSP Palnet Discord when it first started.
Shane would chat almost all day, but I would only occasionally chat due to a combination of social anxiety, spending my time on creative projects, and generally just being a loner.
As time went on I started to feel more comfortable in the chat room and I started to make connections and friendships.
When MSP-waves radio started I decided to do 2 shows. A rather strange thing to do for someone with social anxiety, but I wanted to help promote other artists with the Steemit Creative Show and just explore feelings with The Darkside show. I am slowly overcoming my social anxiety by doing these shows and I am grateful to MSP for giving me this opportunity to grow as a person.
Shortly after I started the radio shows I joined a contest. Several people in MSP were actively campaigning to get votes for me and that was when it finally hit me.
MSP is a family filled with amazing people. MSP has actually changed my life.
I am now more willing and able to break down the walls that have prevented me from connecting with others for so many years. I actually look forward to talking to my friends in the chat room.
If it were not for MSP, I would be fumbling around on Steemit and it’s possible I would have even quit by now. It’s a lonely feeling out there without community support and I encourage anyone who is reading this to joint the MSP community.
I see people come in to the chat room with the same mindset that I had in the beginning.
“How do I get followers?” “How do I get upvotes?”
I wish I could implant the knowledge that I’ve gained over the last 3 months into their heads.
The answer is community, friendships, being open, letting people in, sharing a part of yourself, and the most important thing: helping others.
MSP has helped me in all of those areas and has inspired me to help others.
I am a better person now and I am forever grateful.

What Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Mean To Me
Shortly after joining Steemit in June, Shane found out about MSP and its discord channel called Peace, Abundance, and Liberty (Palnet). He saw a post saying that there would be a live discussion about the channel hosted by @aggroed. We joined the group and listened with excitement at the plans that @aggroed had for this group. Palnet dramatically changed my Steemit experience and I can say without exaggeration that it changed my life.
At first, Peace, Abundance, and Liberty was just the name for our discord group.
The words didn’t hold any deep meaning for me, but as time has moved on they have entered my heart and connected to my values.
I have been struggling with the scarcity mindset for years and have been trying to move to a mindset of Abundance. The actions of individual members and the group as a whole have reminded me of what I had forgotten due to my struggles with scarcity.
The way to abundance is through generosity and giving.
Energy must continue to flow. You have to give in order to receive.
The mindset of Abundance is related to peace and liberty.
They are all connected.
Peace and freedom in the world always seemed like a pipe dream to me, but now I am beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel: The blockchain, Steemit, and the communities and tribes within all working together to be self sufficient instead of being controlled by large corporations.
We can work through abundance to help those in need and create abundance in their lives in the spirit of peace and Liberty. I’m excited to see what the future brings.
Peace, abundance, and liberty now hold deep meaning for me.

My Promise To Help The Community
I am excited to help MSP in any way that I can and I am honored to be considered for a Moderator position. As a moderator it is my goal to be active in the community, help new and existing members, deescalate situations so that peace and liberty is maintained, and create projects that will help the members of MSP on Steemit.
When I first joined, I was lucky to have received the Curie trail a few times.
I didn’t know anything about it when I first joined and I was shocked to come home from work to see that I had made $228 on a post! After learning more about Curie it became my dream and goal to help others in a similar way.
My long term project is to create an MSP based curation guild for active members of our community.
My goal is that it will be available to any active member of MSP with a discord rep of 15 or higher, with less that 6,000 SP, and a steemit reputation of 27 and above.
I’m very excited about this project and I look forward to making it a reality.
I plan to help build our MSP music community as well.
I’m creating an MSP-music bot designed to specifically help musicians that are part of the MSP community. I have wanted to do this since I first learned about voting bots so I’m excited to turn this dream into a reality and do my part to help hard working musicians.
We had a recent musical collaboration by several MSP members and initiated by @stickchumpion which I absolutely adored, so I would like to keep the spirit of collaboration alive and make our Music channel an active group.
I would also like to host karaoke and live open mic nights through MSP-waves to give musicians an opportunity to share their music.
I currently help the community by supporting artists with The Steemit Creative Show.
As an artist, I hold a special place in my heart for other creative beings as I understand the struggle of the Artist.
This is why I developed The Steemit Creative Show on MSP-waves.
The goal of the show is to promote and highlight artists from the Steemit Community so that they can get more exposure. I also offer to make recordings of Short Stories and poetry so that writers can have an audio version of their work.
I created another radio show as well called The Darkside. We all experience darkness in life and sometimes it gets swept under the rug as something “bad” that should be destroyed or ignored.
My goal is to shed some light on human behavior so that those who experience dark emotions can feel less alone and to help people through their dark times with understanding and compassion.
I am honored to be considered as a moderator for this amazing group and I will continue to do whatever I can to help those in need.
Thank you for your support,
Isaria
