Becoming a Steem Witness was one of the best decision I've made ever since I've joined Steem in August 2017.
And it was actually one of the easiest and logical decisions.
Steem has changed my life in so many facets, god only knows. And being even more involved with Steem as a Witness, learning important technical aspects - I love it.
Looking back, my initial witness declaration was on the 28th January 2018 - over 8 months ago.
In that timeframe, my profile-image had 3 different looks. Which for me, also displayed my transformation as a Steemian, Witness & human-being.
I grew from a Minnow to an Orca. And I'm proud of this fact, but I still remember how difficult it was to get started and be seen in this vast ocean, called Steem.
And my goal was always to make it easier for new Steemians so that we can be a platform that welcomes users.
To achieve this goal, I did my own thing - becoming successful, so that I can uplift other people then, the old philosophy "you can't give what you don't have".

The first time I had the feeling that I can finally give back to the community was when I decided to delegate 15,000 Steempower to an amazing (and un-recognized) community, called @helpie; which doubled the delegated Steempower instantly.
I made the announcement live on air while having my first AMA live stream with @meno. (You can watch the recording of the live stream - the delegation announcement is near the end, at 2:02:55)
With the delegation, @helpie can support hundreds of talented and hardworking Steemians, who help to make Steem the place that it is today, with double the amount of Steempower than before.
And I think that also fits quite well with the first question.
What are you pledging to do to support the Minnow Community?
I'll pledge to continue to support the Minnow Community. By giving back and sharing my success on Steem. There are many Minnows who are also working hard and if we work together, we can make this blockchain, the best one in the world, and I mean that.
Additionally, Smartsteem.com, the project I've founded and developed, is also designed to give minnows an opportunity to grow on this blockchain as well. Knowing they have an opportunity to shine makes a giant difference and it's fascinating to see the mindset switch when they realize they have a chance to be investors too.
On top of that, we have started to develop a complete educational publication that will teach minnows and users of all sizes how to properly grow their accounts, how to act, what to do, what not to do, etc.
For this, I'm working together with a small team of talented Steemians to help me with this mission as I believe that the path forward, is connected with education.
What are you pledging to do to support the Steemit Community?
I will continue to develop tools to help the Steemit Community. Currently, I'm working very hard on new projects that lower the barrier of entry for many users with fewer means.
My focus is on two fronts, I want to be able to do my part to close the gap between content creators and investors because they are both equally valuable. So my efforts are towards creating more tools and products for this purpose.
Additionally, Steem is as much important as Steemit so I'm putting my work also towards tools that benefit Steem.
What are you pledging to do to support the Minnow Support Project?
More than ever I understand the value of communities and its undeniable at this point that MSP is vital for STEEM. Besides the 5,000 SP delegation I've just made, I would also like to offer my assistance with their endeavours.
Since my focus, almost from the start, has been technical and development for the blockchain, I think I can bring a lot of value to the table and thus value to the team & project.
