Anti-Abuse Team Weekly Report #3
Friday - September 15th - 2017
Weekly report #3 is going to be fairly sparse. The numbers definitely reflect a busy week for the AAT and we are going to be looking at ways to streamline further in the future. We are hoping for an increase in traffic as MSP has now been added to the official Steemit.com Welcome screen. New accounts will see us as a 'New Member Support Community'. Time will tell how much more traffic this will generate, but we are hoping to grow quickly.
The details of this weeks prune of the member-list -
- 4645 Members before this week's prune was run. (275 new accounts since last week)
- 30 Day Prune has removed 203 dead accounts. (28 less were removed this Prune)
- This leaves our count at 4442 Members after the prune.
- ~417 Concurrent users online at 18:30 EST (-14% from previous)
Updated stats on Bans and Blacklist -
- 619 Discord bans (+111 new from previous)
- 354 accounts in total are now Blacklisted by @minnowsupport (+93 from previous)
What are we seeing with these stats? -
It seems this was the week for business to start picking up. Even before the Welcome Page update, we were seeing a huge increase in the numbers of abusers and multi-account attempts. No individual attempt was all that large, but they were numerous.
In summary:
After a busy week, we are glad to get some numbers visible for our Members and the community at large. Moving forward, we are going to be looking for even more ways to streamline our process and make it easier for all of the Moderators to help with this initiative.
