Before I continue writing about our model train let's have another look back. About 3.5 years ago I was lying on the floor in my son's room when he was playing with his 3-inch-model cars. These are the diecast model cars made by Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Majorette etc. in scales around 1/64.
I was a little bit bored and so I started photographing the model cars with my smart phone. I really liked it and founded the website scalemodel.photography.
We also started to visit model trains like the Miniatur-Wunderland in Hamburg or the Model of the Mariazell railway in Kirchberg an der Pielach.
In addition we visited miniature parks like Minimundus in Carinthia.
I also created an instagram profile which gained more than 4,500 subscribers and a facebook page with 620 subscribers.
Well, and then the year 2020 came and the Covid 19 pandemic. Public model railroads and miniature parks were closed during many months. In addition, I had to work from home and in order not to get too fat I tried to use my free time for hiking and Nordic Walking. So, that's why you now will find arounde 200 hiking trails described on my website "Weinbergwandern.at" but no new entries on scalemodel.photography.
But as soon as the second quarter of our model train is finished I am going to take more photos of my 1/87 model cars and present them on scalemodel.photography or at least on the related instagram profile.
