So my long weekend was some what eventful. I did how ever manage find time to get myself and family along to the Rosehill 2018 model railway exhibition on the Monday. This is the first time I have been to the Rosehill exhibition. The set out was a lot better than previous exhibitions I have been to at other venues as it all fits in the one main arena rather than broken into lots of little areas. It also had an outside ride on train for the young ones.
All up there was around 35 model railway layouts and 40 odd trade/club setups. I did also manage to come home $550 poorer after a visit to the Auscision Models trade store. Whilst I don't currently have a railway setup I slowly acquire stuff for a time at which I can build a decent layout. So I came home with a C44 class 9207 Pacific National locomotive. Complete with led lighting and dcc and sound decoder ready. Also picked up a set of 6 x Pacific National coal wagon rolling stock. Here is a bit of an amateur photo shoot I did (on my phone) of one of the wagons and the locomotive.
Photography isn't my forte so please excuse my poor photography of some of the layouts. I've always found large railway layouts are a very hard to thing to capture without taking lots of smaller more focussed images. But here is a bit of a taste of what was on display.
All up was a good event put on by Epping Model Railroad Club. My oldest daughter loves trains so she was loving it until she got too tired and grumpy. She also loved the $3 ride on mini steam train they had set up outside.
