After two weeks of a heated campaign to win the first ever blockchain movie vote, Terminal Station has emerged winner of the contest to get funding from mogul productions, the decentralized film financing platform.
Terminal Station beat two other competing movies — Mr-9 and Devilreaux — to win the contest. Mogul initially received about 500 script submissions and after a thorough screening and reviews by the team, the three movies, Mr-9 Terminal Station, and Devilreaux emerged which were then put up for voting by the mogul community.
Terminal Station recorded a significant vote margin against the other two as seen in the score sheet below:
Terminal Station — 33,470 votes
Mr-9 — 8,673 votes
Devilreaux — 4,263 votes
So Now What’s Next?
I guess you might be curious as me to know what steps Mogul is taking next with regard to the latest development. Well, one of the requirements for the movie selection was that they must be ready for shooting/production in the first place. So we expect the production process to commence pretty soon.
In the meantime, mogul team is working with its marketing arm and press partners to spread the news further across Hollywood and the entire blockchain space about the upcoming movie.
Also, the community is awaiting further information on Terminal Station such as their financials/budgets, marketing strategies, and key cast members.
Terminal Station would be the second movie that would be financed by mogul productions, although the first to be voted for by the community through a decentralized process. The first funded movie by Mogul was Bonded, and it is currently in post production phase.
