A whirlwind weekend. Back here at the Monday Steem Desk again.
(Last Monday was my son’s birthday so the Steem desk took a day off!)
This is the Monday Steem Desk for Monday, October 30th, coming at you from the Harashin Café in Meike, Niigata Japan!
(Current Steem price @ coincap.io: $0.98 USD)
Joined today by friend and fellow Steemian, @boxcarblue!
Tomorrow’s VJ LIVE!
will be another open forum video chat, open to everyone. The join link will be posted in the comments section of this post prior to the show tomorrow, so be sure to check back before then!
SHOW TOPICS
The inhumane and illogical “drug war” destroying individuals’ lives, families, and livelihoods.
Building communities both on Steemit and in “real life.” I’ll be talking about a new community I am part of here on Steemit and also offline called “Steem City Niigata.” ( @steemcityniigata )
Don’t miss it! VJ LIVE! Tuesday, October 31st 🎃, @ 10:30 PM JST (Japan)!
Steemit Community Building
@boxcarblue and I here on a cloudy, gray and cold Niigata Monday, working out some of the finer points for the new project.
With the recent launch of our new community @steemcityniigata, @boxcarblue, @maxinpower, and myself have been talking a lot about how we can use this community to directly connect Steem to real life monetary transactions locally, build a support network for Niigata Steemians, and share ideas which will increase the happiness and financial liberty of all involved.
Head on over to @steemcityniigata to see what it’s all about!
Finally, some wisdom from Ralph Waldo Emerson on changing your mind, from the essay “Self-Reliance”:
In other words, don’t be afraid to do you! Make mistakes, learn, change your mind. It’s all good. Just never stop pushing forward!
That’s it for the Steem Desk this week, folks, so glad to be back, and see you on #VJLIVE! tomorrow!
