Hi-Oh!
This is Nicole "Awesome" Sauce Williams.
Nicole is a blogger, marketer, website developer, food expert, classical singer, a member of Jack's Spirko's Expert Council, and a fellow Steemian! I'm sure I missed a label, but the important thing is she's a Steemian, right?
Check out her introduction here:

Nicole had multiple presentations and sat on all the Q & A panels, but the one presentation that really stood out to me was when she spoke about how to create "Hide Sustles."
HIDE SUSTLES?
What on earth is that?!!??
That, my friends was a "lysdexic" slip-up during the presentation. Rather funny, don't you think?
If you got the joke, then you know I'm talking about Side Hustles! See what I did there? Anyways...
A side hustle is a way to make some extra cash that allows you flexibility to pursue what you’re most interested in. It can also be your true passion – a chance to delve into fashion, travel or whatever it is you care about the most without quitting your day job. - Kate Taylor writing for www.entrepreneur.com
The title to her presentation was:
7 step program to tap into the value of what you already have
Nicole started the presentation by making a statement of truth. We all have untapped potential with our Assets and Skills by which we can turn into "Hide Sustles" to create new revenue streams for us.
She gave a quick story about a pop-up camper she had just sitting around her property not being used. Nicole put it on and began renting it out to campers, making roughly $400 a month. Not bad for an asset that was just sitting around.
Here are the 7 steps to creating a possibly lucrative Side Hustle.
- Take store of what you have. (Assets)
- Take stock of what you can do. (Skills)
- Look at all the technological opportunities. Like Swarm city, Steemit, Uber, etc...
- Look at your market opportunities. What is popular and in demand?
- Choose 1 or 2 opportunities that you love. If you love it you will be more motivated to keep doing it.
- Run the numbers. "Spreadsheets don’t lie." If it's not profitable, it's not worth your time for a Side-Hustle.
- Add one thing at a time as those things become habitual. You can have many Side-Hustles, but don't over extend yourself.
Additionally, Nicole gave her 3 rules of Side-Hustles:
- It has to make you money
- It cannot harm your relationships
- Do not depend on that income until it becomes your income.
The reason this presentation meant the most to me is because I know that I have many assets that are just sitting around, but most importantly I know that I have some Mad Skills that I could be monetizing to help me and my family achieve our goals of full-time home-in-steading.
Steemit is one of those assets for sure and hopefully blogging is one of my skills.
