In this video Alex discusses Metcalfe's law and the macroeconomic properties of Bitcoin that make it hard money and a store of value.
The reported inflation rates in most countries is 2-3% per year but the actual figures are much higher. Because of this and other contributing factors the average person's purchasing power goes down every year.
Due to the deflationary aspect and the exponential growth of the Bitcoin network more people are going to start parking their money in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin could well capture some of the market capitalisation of numerous other assets with inflated prices.
