I am new to social media and have stayed away from facebook, youtube and twitter because of how they operate. However, steemit also has its problems, as I discovered recently when a user with lots of steempower recently flagged most of my articles which greyed them out and lowered my reputation. They guy who did this even admitted to me that he did not read the articles! he is a Muslim who flagged any article with a critical viewpoint of Islam. So censorship is still possible in steemit too.
