First of all you must want it. This can be at any sum you desire. Think about a dollar amount and if it makes you feel good you have found the sweet spot. If you your thoughts make you feel bad, you may not be ready for this level of increase yet.
Another method is to think about things like wanting to be financially free. Or you want to live knowing your bills will be taken care of. Your thoughts can't have any negative connotations attached. Ex. I don't want anymore stress in my life.
After this you your desire has to be a burning desire for success or money or whatever you chose. When you have a burning desire you will focus on this and obsess on it and to quote a wise person "you become what you think about most of the time."
One way to stimulate your brains thinking is to watch success videos , tours of houses, cars, etc. Even if you do not desire these things, they show you that they are real and people are actually making it happen.
One of the richest people in the world left this as a gold nugget. You must have depth of vision. A demonstration of this is this dialogue here. If you look at an acorn what do you see? Some would say squirrel food and others may see a tree. Well the mentor sees a forest and this is an example of depth of vision.
