The 14-year-old Joshwina Busy School's last year's student is present. He says that some of his experiences during the period of time are about to experience.
"I did not want to come to my school during the monthly period, at that time I did not have a pad, so I used to fear that if I go to school, the clothes will be damaged, everyone will see it, it would have been a lot of thought, but if I had to go to school or other time, I used to hide and hide. I did not want to stand on the bus. "
Like many young men like Josephine, men's and women's lives are coming to the rescue of monthly health. Sanitary pads are made by stemmed toxins, needle-yarn, cotton yarn, sterile cotton and some abesorbents or drying material. Which is healthier and cheaper even at prices
A small local organization "Mountains of Hope" started this project to create awareness about monthly health. Their goal is to make awareness of every family and community in the remote village of Uganda about the monthly health. The project's founder, James Malinga, said that he had to face the challenge of launching this project.
"Most men complained about one thing that I have been talking about feminine, there is no relation between the boys and the boys, I have understood them with patience, and I have to stand beside my sisters and wives. What do they need in those special days?
But many people tried to obstruct. Even then I started making this pad ignoring all. Because through this work I am helping my daughter, my wife or any sister of mine. What is the objection?
After making the pad, Mr. Malinga came home and went to the village women and told about the use of the pad. However, it is possible to speak openly in front of the community, but it can not be used periodically, because he does not use these words in the local language. Meaning "hit your toes on your toes"
So this social worker believes that the change of mentality over the ages has been more time-consuming. However, due to the propaganda of Malinga, almost everyone in PG and surrounding villages is now working as a proponent of Mentreural Hygiene. One of them is 12-year-old boy Danmu-Chunguji. She said, "Making pads is very important for me, because of which I can help my sisters, and they earn more by selling them." The mother of three daughters, Joshine Sinkluu, All of the girls are school students. He understands how important a monthly health awareness is to empower a girl.
He thinks that if a monthly requirement is available to a girl, then no binding will prevent her. He said, "When I was young, I did not know the sanitary pads. We used to wear old clothes. We used to wash the same cloth every day. But now I know how to create a pad. I do not want them to go to school every day. My money is saved even if I can make a pad myself. "
Though the government is very difficult to provide free sanitary pads to Uganda's 40 million school students, small entrepreneurs like Malinga or Joshin can change the working of women in their community by emphasizing the importance of the health and safety of each village.
