Less than 10 days have passed since the year 2022, and already the world's leading countries - the USA, Russia, India, Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates - are planning to launch lunar missions this year.
Paradoxically, projects to travel to the moon is not only an initiative of the aforementioned countries, since by 2022 several companies also have among their priorities to launch their own prototypes to the moon for tourism purposes, among which the dearMoon project stands out.
For Professor and astrophysics expert Dr. Zoë Leinhardt of the University of Bristol, UK, this year will see the beginning of a new space race, if we take into account research plans and the development of new space tourism technologies.
I wanted to contextualize with the first paragraphs, a little to analyze the superfluous positioning of the international community on really priority issues that the human species demands, and that is not precisely to travel to the moon for space tourism purposes.
Currently, the human species is supposedly going through the worst pandemic in recorded history, but the question arises: Does going to the moon without controlling the pandemic serve any purpose in safeguarding the life of the human species?
I would like to know what you think about this…
