Introduction
MoonShifter (MOONSHIFT) is the governance token for the MoonShifter DAO, controlling MoonShifter Records, MoonShifter Publishing, MoonShifter Productions, and all future MoonShifter Affiliates.
The token will be on both the Hive and Ethereum networks. Hive was chosen for its social and community benefits, and Ethereum was chosen to make the token more accessible. DAO community actions will be largely focused on the Hive Network, whereas the Ethereum token will be mostly used for accessibility and to provide an easy way in and out for token holders. There will be a bridge for the MOONSHIFT tokens so they can be easily traded for their Hive and Ethereum equivalents when needed by token holders.
Technical Details
MOONSHIFT will be used to vote on DAO polls to drive the MoonShifter brands in the way the token holders see fit. The MoonShifter DAO seeks to give every member an equal voice by allowing them to vote with these utility tokens. They can also be used for trading, but this is a secondary use-case.
Tokenomics
There will be a total supply of 30,000 MOONSHIFT tokens. This will include a total supply of 10,000 MOONSHIFT tokens on the Ethereum network, and 20,000 MOONSHIFT tokens on the Hive network.
The tokens on the Hive network will be distributed as follows:
50% (10,000 tokens) will be placed in a bridge wallet that will be used for 1:1 bridging with the Ethereum tokens.
20% (4,000 tokens) will be reserved for the founders.
20% (4,000 tokens) will be airdropped via promotional posts on Hive via PeakD.
10% (2,000 tokens) will be listed on Hive Engine/TribalDEX for purchase for those users who do not receive airdrops. They will be listed for ~$0.01 or roughly 0.03 Hive each.
The tokens will be distributed on Ethereum network as follows:
70% (7,000 tokens) will be placed in a bridge wallet to be used for 1:1 bridging with the Hive tokens.
20% (2,000 tokens) will be reserved for the founders.
10% (1,000 tokens) will be listed on Ethereum DEX’s (TBD) for users to access via Ethereum. They will be listed for ~$0.01 or roughly 0.0000054 ETH each.
Airdrops
4,000 MOONSHIFT hive tokens will be airdropped to users via promotional posts, giveaways, and contests on PeakD.
DAO Polls
MoonShifter DAO polls will be conducted via TribalDEX DAO Token Funds on Hive Engine. We reserve the right to relocate some or all DAO polls to Ethereum at a later date, if needed, but the goal is to conduct these exclusively on Hive.
Effective Date
MOONSHIFT tokens will be minted on the Hive Network and dispersed according to the above Tokenomics by late August 2023. MOONSHIFT tokens will be minted on the Ethereum Network and dispersed according to the above Tokenomics by the end of 2023. The bridge will be put into effect in Q1 2024.
