Fear is and always has been, the greatest enemy of mankind. And it varies significantly among individuals, some of us have the fear of failure, fear of losing our freedom, fear of disappointment, fear of misery, fear of the unknown etc.
Everyone is afraid.
Whatever your fear may be, quote me today that it's a good thing. It is normal and natural to be concerned about your physical, emotional and financial life. The courageous man is not a man who is unafraid. As Mark Twain said.
“courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, and not absence of fear.”
The question is not whether or not you are afraid. Because we all have our fears. The question is how do you deal with your fears? Do you face it or you just run from it?
According to zig ziglar, F-E-A-R has two meanings.
“Forget Everything And Run.” Or “Face Everything And rise.”
Well the choice is yours.
when you confront your fears, your fears diminish while at the same time your self-esteem and self-confidence increases.
However, when you avoid your fears, they grow until they begin to control every aspect of your life. And as your fears increases, your self-esteem and your self-confidence diminishes accordingly.
Conclusion:
“If you say you can do a thing or you can't, you are right either way.” Henry Ford
If you choose to believe it or not, you right. If your fear is justified or not, you are right.
If you choose to forget your fears or face your fears, either the case may be you are equally right. But know that forgetting your fears doesn't necessarily mean your fears have forgotten you also. It will surely come hunting in the future. So isn't it wise you gain the courage to face it now?
