As a business owner, two common factor that determines your efficiency and effectiveness are Time Management and Energy Management.

I will talk about 3X formula that will assist in increasing productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
1. Obligation scheduling:
Research shows that those who plan their business activities ahead or a night before business day get more things done than those who didn't. As a business owner, you are expected to create a time and plan on paper.

"keep an appointment with yourself and do a thorough mental thinking or brainstorming on how to go about your business day to day and year to year activities".
Important questions to ask during obligation scheduling are:
- What am I to accomplish? prioritize this on order of importance
- What must I accomplish? From the above answer, kindly see the first-three as a must to be accomplished.
- What are my tasks? That is, what are the things you must do (necessity) to accomplish all your scheduled tasks, appointment and or activities.
2. Present Focus:
If you are going to get more things done, then, you need to focus on the most important on your schedule obligation list. Though, this doesn't mean that all other things are not important, since you want result in a limited time available, then, you need to separate things that are less important from most important.

You can apply the 80/20 rule.
The 80/20 rule basically suggests that a small amount of inputs contributes to a much larger amount of outputs. Using this rule means to minimize time spent in the unproductive 80% (it includes social media , unschedule emails, calls and appointments).
The purpose of 80/20 is to force you to be more ruthless in cutting time in areas that contribute little.
Here are a few suggestions:
Say no to people who want commitments that don’t contribute enough value.
Spend more studying core concepts and key terms in your business than less important details.
You will safe more energy for accomplishing greater deals and tasks that will move your business forward when you focus more on the most important.
The bottom line is avoid distractions and focus on your tasks
3. Manage your Energy:
You need great energy to accomplish great things in business.
"Manage your energy not your time."
Most business owners usually got exhausted trying to meet deadlines and customers demand. Often time, they work without creating time for exercise, check up, quality sleep, rest and mostly eat "junk food" at restaurant instead of good meal at home. Your energy level and ability deteriorate when you engage in bad habit and unhealthy living.
Your greatest asset to getting things done is your health. Your health status is synonymous to your life's energy. While you are working on time management, take time to enhance and manage your energy.

Eat good food, take proper rest and sleep, exercise daily, show love to the family and love the people around, be enthusiastic at work and build good relationship with staff.
