There's this weird thing I used to do every day and I'd love to share. I call it, Rehearsing for the future, and it pretty much lies within the bounds of self-talk.
According to Dictionary.com, to rehearse means to practice (a musical presentation, a play, a speech, etc) in private, prior to a public presentation.
For me, I think it could also mean living in the future now.
The mind is a pretty powerful thing. What's a human without a mind? unimaginable right?
Sometimes, in reaching out to success, we need to feel it, experience it and Live it as if it's happened already. If you accidentally see me "rehearsing for the future" you'd think I've gone crazy. It doesn't make sense most of the times, But I get excited each time I do it.
As someone who is shy of speaking to people, I had to rehearse for the future.
So, I'd pick up a comb or something, stand in front of a mirror, greet an imaginary audience and start talking to them passionately. There are days I'd act as though I was interviewed by CNN or the famous Oprah Winfrey Show and I'd ask myself questions and answer them.
There are times I act as though I was given a million dollar contract and I'll try as much as I can to get the perfect expression for the moment. I try to imagine how I'd react during those times.
If you think it's a crazy thing to do, hear what Napoleon Hill said,
All things which have been emotionalized (given feeling) and mixed with faith begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart
So, that's one way of 'emotionalizing' my dreams and desires. I always tell myself that my life is getting better every day in every way.
It can only get better.
In rehearsing for the future, do those things you want to see happen in the future. Sure, often times, your mind tends to remind you of your present state and how much of a delusion you might be living in. It prompts you to wake up. However, you have to ignore it and keep going. Go to work.
Don't wait for the future, be the future now. remember, it isn't just gonna pop up one day and WHAM! – We are in the future– Nah, it takes a day at a time... don't sit around waiting for the future. do your best to create it!
I know what the future is because I'm creating it.
Isn't it pretty amazing the kind of confidence boost we get when We've rehearsed something over and over again?
Do what you would do if you were successful.
In rehearsing for the future, do those things you want to see happen in the future. But remember, If you must make it, you must be prepared to work it out too. So, you can do things like;
Attend seminars, workshops, conferences, etc.
Sit with smart and successful people, try as much as you can to interact with them.
Enjoy the presence. Feel the atmosphere of success.
Inhale the good smell of success.
Attend weddings and occasion organized by very wealthy people.
Go and see, touch, and feel wealth.

Wealth looks good on me
Success looks good on me
Money looks good on me
