Hello Hivers!
Now this is one headline I never expected to see! Long time readers of my blog or general Supercross/ Motocross fans will know the name of Cole Seely very well and more the fact that he has had Honda support for his entire career. The HRC Honda team stood by him throughout all the ups and downs, the injuries and struggles they always had his back.
Now retired, he has repaid that by championing the Honda brand in his new ventures on social media and has done a few bike builds all with Hondas and promoting the brand and new products to his followers and fans. This was all done from his own pocket it seems as he wanted to show the brand the value of social media platforms and how he could be an asset to them on the marketing side.
Unfortunatly the corporate side of Honda do not see this value or agree with him and have decided not to support him in any of his ventures. This is a huge mistake in my mind and also something close to my heart. I started my team to promote Steem at first but with the move to Hive (which we all know why) the team will now be supported by my earnings here. I know exactly the power of social media and how it works to promote products, teams and people so I'm very surprised they can't see that.
With no support from Honda Seely had to do some soul searching and with budget being an important factor in self funding he has made the choice to move to a KTM 450 SXF. As a man of integrety he has take the chance to first explain to people why he was forced to make the jump and to make sure there was no bad blood going forward. Goes to show the true class he has and something i respect in anyone. It was purely a financial move and i wish him all the best, even more so as Orange is my bike of choice haha, nice one Cole!
