For a while now, I've been watching a tv series titled ' Alchemy of Souls'. Currently, I have finished watching episodes 1 - 16 of season one.
When watching a good movie, you don't only while away time but gain knowledge from it.

Trust me, you don't want to miss watching this series that would keep you glued to your screen, grinning from ear to ear, and have you begging for more.
In the first episode of the series, the king discovered that his servant had mastered the sorcery of switching souls, so he told the servant named Jang Gang to switch souls with him even if it was for a day. When Jang Gang heard this, he wondered why the king wanted his soul switched, so he interrogated him. The King responded, saying that there was something important he needed to do, but because of his ailment and weak body, he may not be able to do it and that's the reason why he wants them to switch souls. Unknowning to the servant that the king was secretly lusting after his wife.
After the soul was successfully switched, the old king's soul went into the body of the young servant. The King in the servant's body went to meet the wife of the servant and slept with her. After a while, the time elapsed, and the souls went back to their original bodies. However, the servant's wife had already conceived. Some months later, she gave birth to a baby boy and when the servant saw this, he took the child and closed his gate of energy so that he won't be able to do anything magical, he also gave an order that no one should open it.
The suspense, The romance, and actions.
At first, when I started watching episode 1, I felt like it was one regular kind of Kdrama movie where the actors fight with magical powers, but trust me, this movie has a lot and it's not your regular kind of fantasy series.
Another scene showed us a girl named Naksu, who was known as a hired shadow assassin who had been killing the mages in the city. However, when she was attacked by a group of mages, she got hit but escaped.
However, she kept running, trying to find a place to hide so she wouldn't get caught. Just before she finally died, she searched around for another body that she could switch her soul into. Unfortunately, while she was performing the alchemy of soul, her soul went into the body of a blind girl and not the body she had intended that it would go into.
In this series, there are some scenes I find interesting. One of the scenes was the part that showed the mirror of longing. This mirror reflects one's true self or we could just say that it reflects one worst self. The mirror traps you in and used its power to create illusions in front of people you know. Naksu who became Mudeok in the series got trapped in the mirror, however, another interesting character in the movie managed to subdue its power by covering it.
Now, I have watched up to episode 16 and there are several suspense stories. The first one is about the character So-I who was taken to Jiyowon to impersonate the real daughter of Jiyowon.
The second suspense is about the true identity of Mudeok and the love story between Jang UK and Mudeok. The question I keep asking myself is this; with all these complicated situations around Mudeok, will they be able to share that bond as lovers or will the love story end?
More stories or mysteries kept unfolding as I watched further into the series. The child whose gate of energy was closed finally opened. Guys! go watch the movie to see how it all happened.
It was also fascinating to see how this child who is all grown into a fine young man now was able to learn certain spells faster than those whose gate of energy was never closed. He is simply a genius.
Final thoughts.
The series has a lot for the viewers. I'm currently waiting for season 1, episode 17. It is said that it will be released on the 20th of August, so I'm waiting. Like I said earlier, there is a lot of suspense in this series and I can't wait to see how the puzzles get fixed.
There is one thing I haven't mentioned and that is the ICE STONE. This special kind of stone can bring the dead back to life and one of the people I consider evil in the series name Jin my is using the ice stone to create soul shifters for his benefit. What worries me is how the mage of Sonlgrim would find a way to retrieve the ice stone from his possession. The only way the evil man Jin mu's plan can be eliminated is when the ice stone is destroyed. I can only hope that more harm shouldn't be done before it is found and retrieved. A soul shifter was captured in one of the previous episode.The purpose for which he was captured was for the leader of Sonlgrim to get information on what had happened at their base.
