Recently I read a high-ranking trending post called Monogamy-Is-A-Lie I had to laugh as for me it was written obviously by someone who has a hard time keeping their junk in their pants and needs some way of justifying why they should not, well here are the reasons you should.
The Heart
If our true nature was to be Polygamous then there would be no bond between a man and a woman, there would be no heartbreak, when the one partner sleeps with someone else, yet there is and the reason for that is that the act of sex actually forms a special bond between 2 people, this bond is felt and is always there whether we realise it or not hence when one partner decides to wonder off and indulge in animal instincts it causes untold heartbreak, those that allow this to happen saying it is ok simply supress the feeling of the bond be broken over and over again.
Disease
There are more than 20 types of sexual disease, affecting untold millions of men and women in the world Each year, there are estimated 357 million new infections with 1 of 4 STIs: chlamydia (131 million), gonorrhoea (78 million), syphilis (5.6 million) and trichomoniasis (143 million). More than 500 million people are living with genital HSV (herpes) infection around the world this is without the Aids epedemic, the transmission of theses diseases through sex advocates that 2 partners in a relationship is how it should be and is safe and those who believe in Polygamy or multiple sexual partners take part in the overwhelming increase of infected.
Moral And Ethical Decay
Every year there are untold numbers of careers, marriages and families that are destroyed by sexual unfaithfulness with the real victims being our children, is this truly what we want for them ? a relationship / marriage between 2 people is largely about faithfulness and commitment , if you can not be faithful and committed to your partner then can you truly be with anything else in this world ?
Religion
God always intended it to be one man and one woman, he created Adam and Eve, a pair a couple to propagate the earth, The clearest evidence that monogamy is God’s ideal is from Christ’s teaching on marriage in Matthew 19:3–6. In this passage, He cited the Genesis creation account, in particular Genesis 1:27 and 2:24, saying “the two will become one flesh”, not more than two.
It was said the King Soloman had 1000 wives and concubines, Over time, Solomon forgot his own counsel and the wisdom of Scripture. God had given clear instructions for anyone who would be king: no amassing of horses, no multiplying of wives, and no accumulating of silver and gold (Deuteronomy 17:14-20). These commands were designed to prevent the king from trusting in military might, following foreign gods, and relying on wealth instead of on God. Any survey of Solomon’s life will show that he broke all three of these divine prohibitions!
Finally let us not forget the God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gamorrah with sexual immorality being the main reason !
Relationships
Relationships are special, they are more than about sex and actually knowing every inch of your partner's body is highly rewarding, truth be told there is always something new to discover, something you did not know and even something you want to try, the grass only looks greener on the other end because there is more crap on the other side.
Truly speaking when a woman orgasms, or a man, it isgoing to feel exactly the same, no matter who you are with, making having multiple sexual partners sensless, if you want to play the field go for it, there is a world of heartache, moral decay and special diseases waiting just for you!
