Last week's episode happened on 12/23, which was the last day of Mercury's retrograde cycle as well as the 2nd day of the Winter Solstice. @sunravelme and I decided a few days prior to celebrate and discuss the Solstice and the Pagan roots of the Holiday Season so I stayed up late one night and delved deep into Comparative Religion and Solar Mythology.

The Winter Solstice is the day of the least amount of light and is a celebration of the rebirth of the Sun as the days begin to lengthen again with increased hours of daylight.
It is also a metaphorical celebration of creation, life, death, and rebirth.

Solar Mythology describes the Sun's passage through the Zodiac and the changing of seasons throughout the year.
Various ancient cultures all had similar stories based on this Sun Worship.
A common theme among all these cultures regarding the Winter Solstice is death (shortest amount of daylight) and rebirth (Light defeating Darkness as Sunlight increases again).
