I decided to make up this post for the minnows that just found their way to the minnowsupport project discord channel. As easy as it may seem, without proper acquaintance, you might miss your way. Get in here to have a proper knowledge of all their sub-channels. Below is the picture i screenshot from the channel and brief explanation on them.
In the above diagram, the PAL (Peace, Abundant, Liberty) is the MSP's discord platform logo.
Now to the brief explanations;
Start-here-rules
Here, you can go through the minnowsupport rules. Knowing the rules will keep you on the right track and with that, you can avoid being a good and trusted member of the community. Go through the rules to avoid getting blacklisted.
Comienza-aquí-reglas
I understand only 2 languages, my native language(Yoruba) and English. So, i did a research on this (comienza aquí reglas) and it turns out to be spanish which means “Rules start here” in English. I think it's for the sake of the spanish steemit users.
Help
The help channel is very important. You can ask whatever is bothering you from the help channel handler and a satisfying reply or solution will be given to you. @torico or @discordiant handles that channel.
Registration
Here, you can register to be part of the MSP member and can recieve upvote from MSP once you got registered as a member. The Minnowsuport BOT handles that channel. You can get in here to know more about MSP. That link will take you to a post i wrote about them about a month ago, you can also know more about the registration and upvote getting procedure from there.
Welcome-room
After the registration channel comes the welcome room. The Tatsumaki BOT handles this channel. The Bot will welcome you to the channel and also gives you a link to the rles and guidelines again.
General-shallowend and General-deepend aren't much of a special channel, they are a slow moving general chat for new users but with different handlers.
The-swap
This is specially designed for making trades. You can exchange sbd or steem for paypal usd or any other digital currency. You will reach an agreement with someone elso who's in need of your product and swap amongst yourselves.
MSP-witness
Here, you're not permitted to chat. It consists of links to some witnesses' posts. You can know more about steem witnesses in a post on my blog, i wrote the post about a month ago explaining all you need to know about the steem witnesses. Here's the link to it.
Playingwithbots
As it name implies, you play with the bots here. You can ask the bots some questions with some certain command function. For example: $price steem and it will reply you with an image containing the current price of steem. It is been handled by @banjo.
Upvotes
Here us why you go through registration at the registration channel. You can get upvote from the minnowsupport project if you're a registered member. Your voting cooldown ends in 48hrs which means you can't get upvote from them again until 48hrs after the former upvote you recieved.
