When we carry anger and animosity, even hate toward people in our hearts, we hurt ourselves the most. Spiritually, physically and emotionally.

Bitterness toward others harms us the most.

Forgiving self and others means liberation - from being held hostage by the enemies of God: by those who thrive on strife, pride, boastings and hate toward people, even ourselves. But there is an easy solution. Even as the Son of God was nailed to the cross, He uttered:

Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do. Lk 23:24

I am a born again Christian who came to Christ in February of 2011. I was baptized in the Jersey sea in October that year. It has been a difficult jorney, getting to know Jesus Christ - trusting Him, surrendering all. My stubborness did not help.

God, being a gentleman, He did not force me to do anything. He said, sure, do it your way. Painful was the result many times over. As a rebellious child. Now, I live a much more peaceful life, in Christ.

And so my trust is in the Lord, regardless of what maybe around the corner. It only takes a little faith... In whom do you trust?
