Introducing…
BLOCK MOUNTAIN is a collaborative music project between DJ Lethal Skillz and Scuzzy Ruckus that aims to engage, strengthen, and invigorate Steemit artists, musicians, and the community.
The purpose is to contribute to the enrichment of our community so that integrity and sincerity are acknowledged and awarded. In addition, Block Mountain strives to not only enlighten Steemit members, but also to make awareness of Steemit, its initiatives, affiliates, and other blockchain platforms to potentially productive members.
What is Block Mountain?
In the geological sense, a block mountain is a type of rejuvenated mountain formed by an enormous underground pressure that forces a whole rock mass to break away from another. As a result, a 'block mountain' is uplifted from the surrounding land.
We simplified this concept of block mountains and poetically interpreted it into three key principles and philosophies relevant to us. The Block Mountain music project strives to achieve the following:
- To encourage the qualitative progression of our community by uplifting and supporting those who are like-minded.
- To encourage collaborative projects because "if everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself" (Henry Ford).
- To bring awareness and educate our community, as well as to those outside of the blockchain.
Block Mountain is about our fundamental principles and a state of mind that we are pursuing to advocate: self-growth and community solidarity.
We are Block Mountain. Let's break away from the mold and rise together!
The Block Mountain Album
The primary initiative is to produce and release the first of the Block Mountain album series featuring the Steemit community.
Emcees, singers, artists, and graphic designers, this is where you come in. We’ll be hosting two contests to recruit the best talents of Steemit: one for emcees and singers; and one for artists and graphic designers (for the album cover design). Everybody who qualifies will be rewarded. The general concepts and themes are to educate and spread awareness about blockchains, Steemit, it’s initiatives and affiliates, and/or cryptocurrency; i.e., @steemit, @sndbox, @sndbox-alpha, @whaleshares (@officialfuzzy), @eosio, @dsound, @dtube, @musicoin, @dlive, @utopian-io, etcetera. More details will be provided in each respective posts regarding the contest.
Those who qualify will be provided the appropriate resources required to achieve a quality outcome. Then, we will get the project professional mixed & mastered. Once completed, you can expect to see Block Mountain on all blockchain platforms, or at least most of them.
“But I don’t sing or draw! How can I be part of Block Mountain?”
Don't fret. There are other ways you can be involved. We need your support. Whether you resteem or sponsor us, the accumulation of contributions will be directly proportional to the success of Block Mountain. This is precisely how Block Mountain works -- moving forward together.
