Overview of the track here.

I did this song last night,
it started with the drumbeat, and I knew I wanted to do something kinda dark and dissonant, so I started with some tritones and ended up with this! I like how the tritones make it sound kinda espionage-y. It's also a little faster than some of the previous stuff I've done, I think like 145 bpm, which I like. The Chorus part gets particularly heavy. Okay let's get into each instrument...

First up is Track 2,
which is just a normal sort of synth, but I took the rhythm from the drums midi file and copied into this track, but moved things around so harmonically it made sense. Basically, we are in Eb minor, and the first 16 measures are all just an arpeggiated tritone riff, with a low and high Eb and Anatural in the middle. This bouncing back and forth adds even more movement to the track. The second section, which has the double bass in the drums, changes on this instrument, moving to a riff on Bb, so it feels like it wants to resolve back to the Eb, which it does. After these 2 sections repeat 2x, we move into the Chorus, which at first just plays Eb and Gb back and forth, but the second and third time around, plays a little progression, moving from Eb to Gb, down to B and then to Db before resolving.
Track 2 as described above.

Next up is the bass,
which is track 3. It's really simple, playing an Eb the whole time until it drops to Bb, then back up 2x. When we reach the Chorus, it just follows the bass notes of the chords track 2 plays, Eb, Gb, Ab, Bb, Eb, Gb, Bnatural (Cb), and Db. It repeats the same rhythm for the whole track, just fills in the low of the harmony.

Next is Track 4,
which is just an arpeggiated saw synth, playing 1/16ths. It also just follows the bass notes, Eb and Bb, and in the Chorus, essentially follows the bass line, but playing constantly instead of the rhythm that the bass line uses.
The Melody in Track 6 as described below.

Next up is tracks 6 and 7
(Track 5 will come up only in the Chorus, so I'll cover it next). 6 and 7 do a little call and response routine, playing the above melody and chords. Track 7 is sidechained to the drums, so parts of it cut in and out, which I like, makes it a little different than what Track 6 is playing.

Track 5 only comes in during
the Chorus sections, and is a fast little eighth note melody. It is playing in Eb minor, and I believe stays faithful to the scale except for the use of one Flat 2. I took a screenshot of it, pictured below, so you can see what it's playing. It would be difficult for be to type all those notes out haha.
Track 5 as described above.

Hope you guys enjoy the song, thanks for the support as always! Steem On!
