March is around the corner, and we had an incredible month full of old memories, excellent music and recognition of Dilla.

I shared some mixtapes, videos I cherish and my mandatory 2 cents. Today I want to share two beautiful recreations of my favourite album of all time. Charlie Coffeen is an artist from Chicago and decided, with the help of an ensemble, to redo the songs. They did an excellent job; I could easily listen to this the whole day.

Charlie Coffeen is a prolific composer and keyboardist in Chicago, best known for his work with Chicago group Sidewalk Chalk. For the last several years, Charlie has put together an ensemble to pay live tribute to one of his greatest influences - the legendary producer J Dilla. The ensemble performs his most iconic album "Donuts" start to finish. Charlie brought his 12-piece orchestra to our studio to play some of those songs live. Hear the full session and interview here.
