January 2020 & February 2020
Most of 2020's first quarter was spend coordinating marketing followups and creating music videos that feature songs off of the smash hit, "Jackie Lee Vs Bruce Chan Hip Hop Battle."
Lots of music videos released during each of these months. I'll talk about it, just keep reading.

🎧 Home Studio 🎙
This is what the Tetrahedroseph "home studio" looks like now:
It's been cleaned and prepared for recording and live broadcasting.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the big band project have inspired me to set up my "home studio" again. I haven't had a recording interface for a long time. I stopped chasing gear. I started maximizing what was around me, the iPhone 5s and now the iPhone 7 and Garageband. My buddy @steelparade recently gave me an audio interface because I started complaining about struggling to record live bass. I'm a bass player. It was dumb. I had some other hesitations, but they don't matter. "gonna get my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames!"

🥁 Big Band Is Unstoppable! 🎺
We can't meet for our normal rehearsal. All schools are closed. Instead, we are using video conferencing. Lots of musicians are switching to video conferencing to communicate. I think most of them believe that they can suddenly "jam" together. It doesn't work that way. Latency, lag, dithering, physics, light speed... ringing any bells? I ain't that smart y'all, what's happening?
They need bass.
I'm currently working on a lot, but this is a big band project in front of me now. The drums are done, piano/keyboard is waiting and then the rest of the band is also waiting too! I wanted to spend most of a day rerecording the bass part for Caravan. Instead, i did it in a rush. I sent it to them. It's not a good one. I can hear nasty rushing and I know that if I spent more time, I could get it to sound better. I always have dishes to do. It's been busy.
Wait! Wtf happen to the last song we recorded. I finished the bass part for, "I've Got You Under My Skin" last week.
The first project with Big Band was "I've Got You Under My Skin." First drums, then the bass, then the key board/piano, and then the director sends that out to the rest of the students in the band. They record their parts at home, send their recorded parts to the director and then he will magically mix it all together.
I actually don't expect too much. I'm helping to create a tool for the students to practice recording. That's also what this project is for me too.

When the COVID-19 lock down first started, I spotted a Lambo out for a joy ride. I thought to myself, "Must be a good time to get out because they normally can't see shit." Short cars are a disappointment in LA sometimes. It's usually too busy to see past the cars next to you, but not now.
🗜 "I Say A Little Prayer For You" 🛏
I was asked to create a simplified drum part of an arrangement of "I Say A Little Prayer For You" as sang by Dionne Warwick.
I added a little keyboard and bass for tonal reference. The chart in the image above comes from the luck studio session winner that I am doing this for. Thankfully the draft was "good enough" for now. I hope to complete the project when I have more time available.
