My third entry for this #tvshowwayback challenge started by @saffisara is the singer known only as Fabian. I first saw him on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Fabian appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1959. I was not one to crush on TV personalities but I thought he was the handsomest guy and I loved his singing.
I remember he appeared a few times and thought he could sing like a bird.
As a young teen living, in the boondocks, there was not any exposure to teen idols except on the Ed Sullivan TV show and through a radio with limited reception.
My mother with her Irish Catholic upbringing, was very strict at what I could read and watch but the Ed Sullivan show was family oriented and okay to watch.
Just don’t try to bring a true story magazine into the house ( teens loved reading these romantic stories) or watch a soap opera! All my girlfriends had these magazines and I really wanted to read them.
Fabian was born Fabiano Anthony Forte on February 6, 1943.
Like similar style singers, Elvis and Ricky Nelson, Fabian was a teen idol in late 50’s and early 60’s.
With his good looks, Fabian was also in demand as an actor, starring in episodes of The Virginian, Wagon Train, The Greatest Show on Earth and The Eleventh Hour.
He had a role in ‘Ride the Wild Surf’ (1964) with Tab Hunter.
