Thousands of Rohingya women, children and elderly people gathered at the Bangladesh border in search of safe shelters in Myanmar's Rakhine state.
There are worries and anxiety among them. Meanwhile, BGB Director General Major General Abul Hossain has said that the border has been sealed to face the infiltration.
The concerned people say that after the start of the violence, nearly two thousand Rohingya have entered into Bangladesh. Four other Rohingyas have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital after being shot in the hands of Myanmar law enforcers.
Four Rohingyas were injured in the attack by Ziabul, 27, son of Nuruzzaman, 27, son of Hamid Hossain of Nachidong village in the same area, and son of Hossain Ahmad, a resident of Saheb Bazar area, was living in Devinna village of Maungdaw in Myanmar. Toha (16) and Mobarak Hossain (25), son of Nabi Hossain of the same village.
Earlier on Friday night, two Rohingyas named Moktar and Mucha were admitted to the hospital. In the meantime, wounds died on Saturday morning in hospital. On Sunday, the Myanmar government said that the number of deaths rose to 98 in the latest violence that began on Friday when 30 Rohingya rebels attacked Rakhine police in a joint operation. Of the dead, 80 were rebels and 12 security personnel, they said. No information was given about the remaining six.
On Sunday, the BGB Director General visited the border area and said that if a violation of international norms on the border, then a reasonable reply will be given. He said further 15 thousand BGB members will be appointed under BGB's 'Vision-2041'.
In the current situation, Bangladesh urges Myanmar not to attack innocent Rohingya. Calling the Myanmar Acting Ambassador, the Foreign Ministry said that they came running in Bangladesh when they attacked unarmed Rohingya in the security operation. The US State Department also said to maintain human rights, rule of law during the security operation. Alice Wales, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, US State Department, will be coming to Dhaka on a one-day tour tomorrow.
On Sunday, a diplomatic source in Dhaka said that Bangladesh will raise the Rohingya issue in the meeting with US officials. Bangladesh wants to fully implement the recommendation of the report of the Kafi Anan Commission to Myanmar. Myanmar will be asked to put pressure on this. Meanwhile, in a meeting of the National Task Force on Rohingya in the State Guest House Padma in Dhaka, the overall situation was reviewed.
About the situation arising out of the incident, Asif Munir, the immigration expert, told Jugantar on Sunday, "Although the government has been stern in dealing with border penetration, the Rohingya who were on the no-man's land; Many of them have entered Bangladesh. They are making chapel under the open sky or plastic sheet in the street. Many of them are injured. Unicef and the UNHCR staff are taking their inquiries.

The most violent fight has happened in Maungdaw, the biggest city in the area. Fearing more violence, thousands of Rohingyas, among whom women and children, crossed the Naf river and land border, tried to flee to neighboring Bangladesh.
When the Myanmar military launched a ruthless military campaign against the Rohingya in the region after the Rohingyas's deadly attack in Myanmar border police post in October, the violence began to increase. There were allegations that Myanmar's military had violated serious human rights in the operation. Due to restrictions on entering Rakhine's violent areas and not getting detailed report of violence, it is difficult to have full idea about the situation. Even then, experts believe that the latest attack was so huge that instead of regular attacks, instead of attacking the rebels, it was a movement or a mass uprising.
